Egypt’s most prominent mining entity trusted CEVA Logistics to transport 10,000 metric tons of Ilmenite sand from Burullus, Egypt, to Saudi Arabia. The successful shipment was the country’s first bulk export shipment of Ilmenite sand from Egypt to Saudi Arabia, a milestone achievement that sets the stage for future mineral trade between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Ilmenite sand is a naturally occurring iron-titanium oxide mineral often used to produce titanium dioxide, which is commonly used in paints, plastics, paper, and more.
